ABOUT THE TULARE COUNTY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

The Tulare County Symphony Orchestra was established in 1960.  Our mission is to provide a symphony orchestra to Tulare County and to foster an appreciation of symphonic music.

Today we are comprised of approximately 80 musicians and produce eight concerts each season. Many of our musicians are music teachers in the public school system, and our orchestra is a significant source of support to their professional development and capacity to train our next generation of musicians.

Since our inception, fundraising and ticket sales have helped support the orchestra and its music education programs.  Our goal is to offer opportunities to promote and share music and for more than half a century we have provided that cultural resource to Tulare County residents.

Each season, we hold six masterworks concerts at the 1,250 seat Visalia Fox Theater and two “Pops” concerts – Pops in the Park and our “Holiday” Pops concert. In addition, in the fall of each season, we hold seven concerts for youth in public schools.
