The Tulare County Symphony Association is a vital service provider when it comes to providing an important quality of life activity for elders in our community. We set aside a block of 12 seats at every one of our concerts for groups of seniors who otherwise might not be able to attend.
Why is music important to our elder community? Attending symphony concerts on a regular basis is uplifting and cultivates positive mental health. It also creates opportunities for seniors to come together with friends and family for an excursion.
Many seniors attend our concerts in the company of their adult children, and some senior care facilities bring busloads of residents.
There’s an ever-increasing amount of evidence that integrating music into the lives of seniors can lead to positive benefits in everything from mental health to getting a good night’s sleep.
If you would like to organize a group of seniors to attend one of our concerts, please contact our office today.
